Rooted in self-portraiture, her practice treats the female body as an intersectional space of discipline, desire, visibility, and cultural expectations. By using her own body as both subject and material, Orman investigates the transition of control from an external authority to an internalized habit. For her, the most invisible and effective form of control is self-regulation.
Growing up in Turkey within a family of Iranian, Armenian, and Kurdish heritage, Orman approaches identity not as a fixed structure, but as a constantly negotiated territory. Her work has been featured in various exhibitions and projects, including BASE Istanbul 2025, the Bir Adım Var Foundation Collection, and İFSAK.
